The Coordinated Entry System (CES) for Single Adults, Youth, and Families coordinates supportive services and housing resources across Los Angeles County, to form a collaborative, no-wrong door network that connects homeless individuals and households to services and housing. Funding + Administration

The RFP evaluation process examines core competencies, services, and outcomes desired to ensure that funding is distributed effectively. The service providers with which 现金娱乐网注册 contracts receive technical support, contracting assistance and are able to utilize 现金娱乐网注册’s capacity building resources.

Homeless Count

The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count enables us to gather important data that is key for us to bring about an end to homelessness in Los Angeles. Moderated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and coordinated locally by 现金娱乐网注册, the Greater Los Angeles Homeless count is the largest homeless census count in the nation. Over the course of three days and nights, thousands of volunteers traverse the Los Angeles Continuum of Care to determine how many homeless individuals and families there are in the region, identify their demographic characteristics, and the locations where they reside.

Homeless Outreach

现金娱乐网注册’s Homeless Engagement Team (HET) provides direct outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness. HET members travel throughout Los Angeles County and build personal relationships with their clients. Working under the leadership of the Director of Homeless Services, our HET members provide linkages to resources available for the homeless such as referrals to shelter and transportation. HET members work closely with City and County departments and represent 现金娱乐网注册 at community meetings and events, educating the public about services available in the City and or County of Los Angeles for people experiencing homelessness.

Commission Meetings

现金娱乐网注册 is governed by a politically appointed, 10-member Commission. Five members are selected by the County Board of Supervisors and five are chosen by the Mayor and City Council. Our Commission has the authority to make budgetary, funding, planning and program policies. Commission meetings are held at 9am on the fourth Friday of each month, except during November and December, when they are held on the third Friday of the month.

Legislative Affairs

The Legislative Affairs unit is responsible for developing, monitoring, and advancing 现金娱乐网注册’s policy priorities. In partnership with the public, non-profit, and private sectors, along with those with lived experience of homelessness, staff advocate for policy change that advances efforts to address homelessness throughout the Los Angeles Continuum of Care.
